The Asante Kingdom was formed in the 17th century in present day Ghana, a beautiful country in West Africa. The Kingdom of Asante grew so strong, powerful, and one of the famous in African history. A key factor to their rise to prominence was the coming together of the numerous clans of the Akan people under the leadership of King Osei Tutu and the Golden Stool which was a symbol of unity and spirit of the Asante people. Very well known for their advanced governance, powerful military, and robust economy, The Asante Kingdom became a dominant force in West Africa.


 Culturally the Asantes made history with their exceptional craftmanship, particularly in Kente, a traditional cloth, gold jewelry, and festivals like Akwasidae. The history of the Asantes, is one that depicts resilience notably fighting several wars with the British.

To this day, their rich history and culture still lives on and continues to inspire several people.
